Shoe Haven (for the men, at least!)...

Hey everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely week. Most of my posts are aimed at the ladies, however this week I've decided to do something a little different that I don't know too much about, and that is men's fashion.

As you can probably gather, today's post is about men's shoes - Casuals and Formals. Some shoes will appear in both categories if they suit both occasions. Once again, I'll order them in price lowest - highest as I find that order is the easiest way to shop on a budget! I hope you enjoy this post as requested by Deon!

Casuals/Trainers

I hope you guys enjoyed this - never before have I realised how difficult it is to find nice men's shoes and even harder to find bigger sized shoes - and I thought shopping for my own shoes was difficult! Have a nice week and I'll see you on Monday :)

Liebster Award!

Something really exciting happened this week as I was nominated not once, but twice for a Liebster Award by Elise Anna and Polka Dot Penny. I'd like to start off by saying thank you so much to Elise and Penny, and although many non bloggers may not know of this, I found it really exciting!

Just so you all know, the Liebster Award is given by bloggers to other new and upcoming bloggers to help them get noticed as well as to maybe even form new friendships between bloggers! This award is specifically for those with less than 200 followers.
Rules of The Award:
  • Thank as well as link the blog(s) who nominated you.
  • Answer the 11 questions given to you by the nominator(s).
  • Link and nominate other blogs to receive the award
  • Create your own 11 questions for the new nominees to answer
  • Notify new nominees and link them back to your blog to answer your questions
As I was nominated twice, I decided to choose a combination of questions to answer - so some from Elise, some from Penny.

Questions I got asked:
  • What is your favourite television programme/series?
    • American Horror Story for sure. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single series of it and I'm currently in the middle of Freakshow. Also, who doesn't love a bit of Evan Peters, am I right? ;)
  • What book are you reading/have read recently?
    • Right now, I'm reading 'Who We Are' by One Direction. At the beginning, I genuinely thought it was just going to be the same old stuff us fans already know about but I've learnt loads and been hooked to it and it really is very good!
  • What is your dream career path?
    • Honestly? I have no idea. I'm interested in cosmetic engineering - so with the production of make up etc. but I really don't know!
  • Where is your favourite place to shop?
    • In terms of clothes, I don't have a particular favourite store but I love going to Westfield Stratford to shop. My favourite shop of all time though, has to be Lush.
    • Who is your favourite blogger/youtuber?
      • Katharine Ward (xxmakeupiscoolxx) - I love her videos so much and she's a genuinely lovely person!
    • What is your favourite film?
      • 10 Things I Hate About You - an actual classic. I've watched this countless times and if you haven't watched this yet, what on earth have you been doing?!
    • What can't you leave your house without (apart from your phone)?
      • I have to carry at least two lip balms with me when I'm out and about. One in my pocket, and one in my bag. I'm literally a lip balm hoarder!
    • What would your magical/super power be if you had one?
      • Hmmm... power to wake up and be ready instantly. No faffing about picking an outfit or getting dressed, no doing make up and hair... oh how a girl can wish!
    • If you could be a character from any book/film/tv programme, who would you be and why?
      • These questions are so tricky! I'd have to say Michonne from The Walking Dead.. I mean, she's a pretty badass chick.
    • If you had a genie that granted 3 wishes, what would you ask for and why?
      • Meet One Direction (of course, because I love them)
      • Have a pizza that regrows so it would be endless, because... why not..!
      • To get an allowance of £10,000 tax free cash every month...shopping here I come!
    • Who is your OTP?
      • This is tricky, but I'm going to decide on Violet & Tate (Vate?) from series one of American Horror Story
    My Liebster Award Nominations

    My Nominee's Questions
    1. What countries have you been to, and which was your favourite?
    2. If you could be a celeb for a day, who would you be and why?
    3. If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
    4. What is a long term goal of yours?
    5. If you won £1 million, what would you do with it?
    6. What beauty/skincare product do you swear by?
    7. How would you describe yourself?
    8. What would you do if you could be invisible for a day?
    9. What is your worst habit?
    10. What is your favourite memory from 2014?
    11. What's your favourite film and why?

Thank you for reading this (long!) post. Also thank you to Elise and Penny again for nominating me and I hope my nominees enjoy answering the questions as well as writing new ones for their nominations!
    Have an awesome week everybody.

Product Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

Happy Monday! I haven't done any product reviews as of yet and I see so many other bloggers doing them and I so want to get in on all the reviewing action!

For my first review blog, I wanted to focus on the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush which I have been loving ever since I opened it on Christmas Day. It's an electronic cleanser that is designed to exfoliate and cleanse the skin as well as removing oils which is perfect if you have oily skin as too many oils can cause acne. I've been using this for about a month now, and so far I'm loving it as it's working wonders to making my skin feel soft. I'm usually extremely lazy with cleansing my face which is really awful, I know, but having this has actually created a cleansing routine and I use it every other night purely because it can be harsh on your skin and over using could cause skin damage in the long term. Using it is almost fun in a way? And I'm sure if you have one of these, you know exactly what I'm on about.

When I found out how much the Cleansing Brush costed, I was pleasantly surprised. I've only ever heard about Clarasonic before which is an electronic brush that does exactly the same job as the No7 one, however the Clarasonic prices were extortionate considering they do the same as the cheaper Boots alternative. The cheapest cleanser brush that Clarisonic sell costs £99.99 whereas this No7 brush only costs £24.95. The only issue with it being so cheap is that it sells quickly and as far as I'm aware at the moment, it's completely sold out although I'm sure they'll be putting more on the website due to such a high demand at the moment.

Another thing absolutely to die for about it, is that after you've used it, moisturiser applies much more smoothly and if you use it in the morning, it also makes it easier to blend in foundation because at that point, your skin is pretty much an even surface. It's got a nice curved shape to it which enables you to hold it with a firm grip yet not be uncomfortable while doing so.

Whilst this product makes my skin feel silky smooth and soft after I use it, I do have to confess that I feel as though there are a few faults with the product. The manual advises you to change Brush Heads (£8) every 3-4 months however even in one month I can see that the brushes are fraying more quickly than I'd imagined they would. I've seen from a  couple of YouTube videos that they use their brushes as and when they feel as though their skin needs cleansing and refreshing, however, I believe that having an uneven routine allows for skin to develop more oils and more grease due to it not being prevented.  I feel as though this should be used every other night or every two nights to maintain clean and fresh skin.

Another shame with this product is that it is quite harsh on the skin and if you have sensitive skin, I would probably recommend that you don't use this product as it can be harsh and I have noticed a couple of times that my skin does go a bit red after use. But as they say... beauty is pain, right?!

Overall, I would have to say that I am pleased with this product and the cleansing it's done for my skin. As soon as Boots put more on the website, I highly recommend that you go and buy one! Also, remember guys this isn't just a female product - we're all prone to getting the odd spot and gadgets like this are essential to keep our skin looking pristine.

Have a lovely week everybody x

    Handbags Galore...!

After ages of struggling about what to post about, I resulted in a Facebook post where I was given the most amazing idea by Dawn. An everyday handbag post, some more pricey, and some affordable for us who don't like splashing out too much cash for something to hold our cash (none of which we'd have left if we spent it all on the bag itself). I've put these in order of price Lowest - Highest and I hope these handbag options help those of you in a search for a new bag.

I don't know about you guys but I'm all handbagged out! I hope you see something amongst these that you like - be sure to let me know if you buy anything from the collection of bags I've posted. Have a lovely day x
