So May is just around the corner, which is when I go away to America, and I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite packing tips which will give you more space in your suitcase as well as keeping things neat and tidy.
- Wrap a ribbon or stick something on your suitcase so it's easily identifiable on the carousel!
- Put shoes in shower caps - this will keep them together, as well as making sure your clothes stay clean.
- Place jewellery in 7 day pill boxes - this will stop them from getting tangled (especially necklaces) and will also save you from taking a bulky jewellery box or bag.
- Roll clothes instead of folding them - this may cause extra creases but they can easily be ironed out (if your destination has an iron!) and it makes for lots of space in your luggage!
- Roll belts and put them inside shirt collars - not only does this keep your belt in a confined space and out of the way, it also makes sure the collar of the shirt stays in shape.
- Place any electrical chargers, or sunglasses inside your shoes - this will protect the items as well as saving more space!
- Put heavy items, such as shoes, towards the wheel end of your suitcase.
- Wear bulky clothing, or the heavier shoes on the journey - you can always take the shoes off on the journey if they're a bit uncomfortable for travelling. This saves space and weight in the suitcase.
- Store hair clips in an old tictac container - you can keep them in one specific place and they'll also be easy to access.
- Place a sheet of cling film over the neck of bottles before screwing the cap on - this will stop any leakages and explosions from happening.
Have a lovely week everybody and let me know if you try out any of these packing hacks. Also comment down below if you have any hacks that I've missed off!
Wow you've got some really good tips I've never even thought of! I'll definitely try the clingfilm one!
