Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

Happy Monday! I hope you've all had a lovely week. I decided to do a review post of the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub as I'm absolutely loving it.

As odd as it may sound, I have a serious issue when it comes to my lips. I always bite them when I'm in awkward situations, or if I'm nervous - it's sort of become a comfort thing. It may sound gross but it's a really bad habit I've gotten into which ultimately results in my lips being cracked, dry and not really in a 'normal' state. I've heard that the Lush Lip Scrubs were really hydrating and moisturising, not to mention that they also taste pretty good, so I thought I'd give it a try and let you guys know how I've gotten on with it.

The only thing that sort of swayed me away from trying this for so long is the cost - they're £5.50 (not forgetting an extra £4 delivery charge online)  and I couldn't really justify spending that much on a tiny pot which in my opinion, didn't look as though it would last very long. However, I finally gave in and I'm so happy that I did! I've only been using it for about a week and my lips are already in such a better condition than before!

It tastes amazing which I find extremely attractive when it comes to lip products as I never want something on my lips that tastes completely gross, even if it does 'work wonders'. This lip scrub tastes exactly like cotton candy without you even having to consume the 100% sugary badness of actual cotton candy! It's a small pot which can easily be thrown into a handbag and the jar is also glass which I prefer to metal tins that can get battered in a bag.

One issue that I've had with this is that it leaves my finger quite greasy with all this excess lip scrub which got really annoying so I decided to use a lip brush instead, which I'd definitely recommend if you apply it whilst at home. Also, I already mentioned about it being pretty pricey just for a small pot, but I definitely recommend purchasing it. It's worth the money completely and there's been no significant loss of product in the jar either. One thing I would suggest is buying it from a store rather than online as postage is £4 - so essentially, you'd be paying nearly £10 for the product.

In terms of application, I've used it twice every day - once in the morning, once at night and maybe occasionally during the day but the amount of product you use and timings are completely down to you and whether or not you feel like you need more or less.

I hope you've enjoyed this and let me know if you've tried any of the other flavours and if so, do they taste good?! Have a great week.

Birthday Wishlist / Female Gift Ideas

Hi everyone! Firstly, I'd like to thank you all for hitting over 3000 pageviews on my blog in such a short amount of time, it means a lot! It's that time of year again when my birthday is right around the corner (13th April eeeek!) so I decided to put together a wishlist. Not only to keep track of a few bits I'd like, but also to give you guys some help in what you could buy for a teenage girl if you have any birthdays coming up!
Although this post has been partially for my benefit of keeping track of what goodies I can buy with any birthday money, I hope it's maybe given you an idea of what to buy if you have anyone's birthdays coming up! Have a lovely week and I'll see you next Monday!

February Favourites!

Time again for a favourites post. I tried out a few different things this month so I'll have a wider range of things to share with you guys.

  • Models Own Ballet Pink Lip Gloss - more specifically from Models Own, one of my favourite products is this lip gloss. It's quite hydrating and this specific shade looks really pretty, especially on fairer skin types.
  • Models Own - this isn't really a product favourite, but more of a company favourite. I've purchased quite a few things from them over the past few weeks and I've loved each of them. I've also started using some of the products I already owned from them. I adore every single product of their's that I've got and they're fairly cheap as well!
  • Simple Rich Moisturiser - my skin has been really dried out at the moment, so I've decided to give it a break from make up and just keep it hydrated so I can finally wear foundation again without it drying out on my skin. This moisturiser has been absolutely amazing in replenishing my skin and I highly recommend it for dry skin.
  • Jack Wills English Velvet - I received this in a gift set with two other, and I had this in a body spray form but I can't find it anywhere anymore! This scent is my absolute favourite from Jack Wills and I wear it almost every day. Definitely worth getting!
  • Zumba 100 calorie loss workout - this 'zumba at home' is only 6 minutes long and pretty easy to follow at home. I love this workout and it's such an easy way to lose 100 calories if you're into fitness and home workouts.
  • Made In Chelsea - I've always thought this show was generally quite tacky, but I started watching it and found myself getting hooked. If you enjoy TOWIE, you'll definitely love this and I suggest you give it a watch!
  • Geography EP by Andy Jordan - Andy Jordan is actually from Made In Chelsea, and I've genuinely fallen in love with his music. I love it so much and it's quite different from other music I listen to, but I have this album on loop.
  • Hummus Chips - They're an amazing snack and are no where near as bad for you as other crisps are. Also made by the same company are Lentil Chips. I also like these but I'd definitely choose Hummus Chips over the Lentil type.
  • White Chocolate and Raspberry/Strawberry Food - a HUGE favourite of mine right now! These two flavours go amazingly well together and I've had them in the form of cereal bars (Tesco) and Cookies (Sainsbury's). They're incredible, you must try them!
  • Ripped Skinny Jeans - I only bought my pair of these the other week, but I absolutely love them. They're literally available in every clothes store at the moment! They look so fashionable and can literally be paired with anything to create different types of styles such as casual, or dressy.
I do have one favour to ask of you all and it's to possibly answer this question on my blog's facebook page. I look forward to hearing from you guys! Have an amazing week!

Prosser's Diner Review!

So in my town, a new American themed diner has opened up called "Prosser's Diner". It opened in January and I literally was so excited when I saw it under construction and found out was what going to be opening there. They've been so so busy and it seems as though everyone in the area wants to take a visit to the new diner in Downtown Hoddesdon!
Prosser's has been extremely popular and my mum and I finally got a chance to go there for lunch on Friday. I've been waiting to visit an American Diner for soooooo long and this is pretty much on my doorstep and could not be any more convenient! Anyway, I thought I'd give you guys a review if any of you in the local area were planning on visiting (which you definitely should)!

As soon as we walked in, it was like being transported to a proper retro - style diner. The layout was to perfected 'to a tee', the design of the place was immaculate and most of all, the aromas were the most beautiful thing a foodie like me could ever experience. To add to the atmosphere, a strategically placed life size Elvis Presley was 'chilling' by the bar side and the retro Jukebox also added a touch of absolute awesomeness to the place!  (Photo below has been taken from their Facebook page.)
I ordered a 'Plain Old Dawg' for my meal and it came with 'Lanky Fries' which honestly were the best chips I've ever tasted. I'm not one for the thick type of chips, so when I saw these coming out towards me, it was like heaven on a plate. Not to mention, it tasted like it too. The food was served hot, but not too hot to eat and it was literally all cooked to perfection.
The time it took for the food to come out was a bit slower than I imagined but, boy, was it worth the wait. They cook all their food fresh at every order hence the lengthy waiting time, but to be honest, that really was the least of my concerns. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and checked up to see how the meal was going.

After finishing our meal, we were offered the dessert menu, and obviously, we said yes. I was pretty full from my main so my mum and I decided to share the waffles. On the menu, the waffles come as a pair so we had one each, but purely down to how amazing they tasted, I probably could've eaten a ton more of them if I hadn't have been so full! They were once again, cooked to perfection and the ice cream went down a treat when paired with the waffle.
If you live in the area (Hoddesdon and surrounding) seriously give this place a visit. Even if it's to drop in and have a milkshake at the bar, you won't regret it I promise! Don't forget to check out their Facebook Page for more details on where they're situated as well as a look at the menu!

Have a lovely week everybody, and I'll see you on Monday!

Travel Essentials!✈

This year, I'm going to be doing a tad more travelling than I usually would in a year, and I thought it only right to do a travel essentials post as it may help out a few people as well as a checklist for myself! Whether you may be on a car, flight or train journey, these little essentials are easy to pack as well as being accessible on a long journey. I'll also leave links for as many of these as I can.

  • Passport - if you're travelling outside of the country, this pretty much goes without saying.
  • Camera - maybe not 'essential' for a carry on, although definitely needs to be packed to capture some brilliants shots of your trip away.
  • Sleeping Mask - any flight over a few hours long can be a real killer, especially if it's overnight, you're going to want to get a bit of sleep.
  • Earplugs - following on from the sleeping mask, earplugs are a must have for blocking out the sound of disturbances whilst you're trying to sleep.
  • Chewing Gum - this could be used to just keep your breath fresh, or to stop your ears popping whilst taking off or landing. An alternative to gum is to take a hard candy that you can suck on - this stops ears popping too!
  • Sunglasses - definitely needed if you're going to be ending up in a sunny place after your journey - nothing worse than forgetting your sunnies and being blinded by the light!
  • Earphones/Headphones - essential for watching movies or videos, or just listening to music
  • Cosy Socks - planes can be pretty cold and if you're like me, your feet get freezing all the time so keeping them warm on planes is pretty important
  • Neck Pillow - I hate falling asleep and waking up with my head having been in an awkward, uncomfortable position for the past couple of hours so having one of these means my head can rest properly and not ache for the rest of my trip.
  • Tissues - a must have for everywhere you go.
  • Anti Bacterial Hand wash - planes and trains specifically are absolute minefields for germs and having a small bottle of anti-bac in your bag is brill.
  • Travel Toothbrush and Toothpaste - once again, to freshen up your breath and also keep good dental hygiene if you're on a long journey.
  • Lip balm / Vaseline - planes can really dry out your skin and lips and having a small pot or stick of lip balm is great for re-hydration.
  • Small Pot of Moisturiser (up to 50ml)  - once again, great for re-hydration and keeping skin feeling fresh and clean. An alternative to taking moisturiser would be to take a small pack of facial wipes.
  • Hairbands, brush and clips - if you feel as though you need your hair out of your face for a while!
  • Phone Charger (possibly a portable one) - absolutely NEEDED on a long trip! Portable chargers are definitely more practical for long journeys, although I do believe some planes may have plug sockets as well as some trains.
  • Spare outfit - not only is this saving space in your checked luggage, but also great if you feel like you may need a different outfit when getting out of the car, or plane.

  • I hope this helps decide what to pack in carry on bags etc. Do let me know if you're going on any trips this year - I'd love to know!

I've decided to try and get more interaction with my readers so every week, I'm going to add a new question to the bottom of my blog posts and I'd absolutely love if you could answer them in the comments so I can get to know my readers more! Google accounts have to be made in order to comment but they're so quick to make and I really appreciate comments and feedback from you guys.

     This week's question is;
What are you most looking forward to this Summer?
